Nissan vehicle engineers use more than 40 test cups, cans and bottles to ensure a quality customer experience in new crossovers:
“It’s amazing how much detail goes into something so simple,” explained Russell. “Whichever cup you prefer, it will fit snugly into the holder and not rattle around or tip over.”
Such is the dedication to perfection that engineers even carried out a €50,000 redesign of the Nissan Qashqai when it emerged that the new bottle of a popular brand of Japanese Green Tea would not fit without being slightly squeezed.

“Just like human skin, car paint is affected by intense UV rays that are capable of breaking down a surface, so we test for durability to ensure lasting product quality,”
Dean Gillett explains that all new Nissan crossovers come with a high quality multi-layer paint finish tested to endure the most extreme temperatures in the world, with UV protection equivalent to Sun Protection Factor 500.
Some components even change by region to guarantee high quality performance year after year: “A good example is the gas struts which hold the tailgate open. They’re different around the world because the gas in the cylinder is temperature sensitive.”

The High Beam Assist system detects when you are in need of full-beam headlights, and dips them again when a vehicle is ahead. You can keep your hands on the wheel and your focus where you need it. With LED headlights, you’ll enjoy a wider spread of illumination too.

If you accidentally stray from your lane, the Lane Departure Warning system will be triggered, giving you a visual and audible warning. Keep alert, and keep in lane.
Thinking Ahead
Sometimes human reaction may not be enough. That's why we created Forward Emergency Braking. Constantly monitoring the traffic ahead of you, this safety system can sense imminent collision, apply light braking and give a visual and audible warning. In the case of insufficient driver intervention, heavier braking will be applied.
An Extra Pair of Eyes
Steer clear of any trouble and avoid unwanted repair bills. Blind Spot Warning will detect a vehicle entering your blind spot and a light will appear next to your front door mirror. If you proceed to indicate before the coast is clear, a warning will flash and an alert will chime to remind you of the vehicle’s presence.
Time For A Coffee
Driver Attention Alert monitors your driving to determine your level of concentration and fatigue. If it thinks you need a break, it warns you with an audible and visual signal. By looking after your own safety, you’ll be doing your bit to make the roads safe for everyone.
Within Limits
No more guessing the speed limit. Nissan’s intelligent Traffic Recognition system detects road signs and displays the speed limit on the 5” HD full colour TFT screen.
